As she does the promo for The Other Woman, a film about a man who has not one, not two, but three women competing for his affections (he’s played by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime Lannister in Game Of Thrones, so you can sort of get why they all fancy him), Cameron Diaz has been talking about relationships. Again.
And not only is she having a lot of discussions about them, but she’s totally cool with people who have lots of relationships on the go at the same time. 'For some reason, we get into relationships and we expect one man to understand all the parts of us and meet all of those needs. I think that’s where everything fails.'
When asked by The Mirror if she thought that more than one relationship would be better, Cameron replied: ‘Why not? Why would that be so bad?'
She’s got the same approach to friendships – picking and choosing different friends for different things, a bit like when you get a burrito or something: 'I know with my girlfriends I do totally different things with each one of them. I have different conversations. We like things that others don't like.’
'There are different commonalities in each one of them and when I want to do those certain things, I can go to that girlfriend and we do those things together.' Like getting burritos, right?
Cameron was then asked some questions about marriage and actually we can’t be bothered to repeat them because it’s the same old shit – Cameron Diaz gets asked questions about marriage, she says she’s cool without it and she’s happily single and then goes off and enjoys her life. So let her get on with that – until next time. Stay tuned for next week, when another journalist will ask Cameron Diaz about her sex life or her bikini line.
Incidentally, we much prefer it when she’s talking about pubes.
