Caitlyn Jenner Gives Inspirational Speech At ESPYS

Caitlyn Jenner absolutely killed it at the ESPYS awards last night after winning the Arthur Ashe Courage Award, acknowledging how far we’ve come in terms of acceptance of transgender people – while also pleading for further acceptance and compassion, not just of her, but of all those going through similar circumstances.

At first, the Olympic gold medalist joked about the difficulties she faced as a woman – attempting to figure out what dress to wear – but then things got serious as she moved on to the problems trans people have to deal with every day.

Her kids – the Kardashians and the Jenners – were watching and choking up, as she thanked them for their support (and she got a little choked, too) and we defy you not to watch the clip and either want to break into spontaneous applause or just have a little smile-cry at how inspiring the whole thing is.

Plus, and we know it’s not the point, but doesn’t she look absolutely stunning right now? The transformation has been nothing short of incredible. Go Caitlyn.
