Oh, and it's 'Caitlyn' with 'C', not a 'K'

Father to Kylie and Kendall, stepfather to Kim, Kourtney and Khloe, Jenner made her first post-transitional appearance as a woman on the front of Vanity Fair, announcing her new name of Caitlyn (pronounced Cat-lin) and holy cow does she look amazing.

Wearing a white bustier and featuring long hair and nude make-up, Caitlyn looks super-comfortable being shot by Annie Leibowitz, and a small clip of the interview plays where she talks about the differences between Bruce Jenner and Caitlyn Jenner.

Our favourite thing, though? That she chose Caitlyn with a 'C' and not a 'K'. Take that Kardashian dynasty. That, and this news comes at the same time as a) step-daughter Kim Kardashian announcing her second pregnancy today and b) daughters Kendall and Kylie Jenner launching their first range for Topshop.

UPDATES: Caitlyn's children have expressed their further support for her, tweeting stuff like:

And Instagramming stuff like:

(None of his other four children have commented online, but son Burt has said: 'I have high hopes that Caitlyn is a better person than Bruce.')

Kris Jenner has yet to tweet or Instagram about her ex-husband's transition making it to the front cover of Vanity Fair, but then again, why should she? She's already expressed her support for Caitlyn and this announcement is about Caitlyn, not her.

That said, the 'C' thing is sure to have irked her. Just a little.
