Brittany Murphy may have died tragically young, aged 32, in 2009, but we can still watch a new film from the actress. Something Wicked, which features Shantel VanSanten from One Tree Hill and Julian Morris from Pretty Little Liars, was filmed in 2009, just before Brittany died of pneumonia.

But now, according to

, it’s going to be released in Eugene, Oregon, then rolled out across the Pacific Northwest. Depending on the film’s initial success, it will then be released in more cinemas by the distributor, Merchant Films. ‘The better we do in theaters, the more cities will be added so we need your help getting the word out. Full press release to be posted shortly. Stay Wicked!’ the Facebook post reads.

‘It is an additional responsibility, you do want her performance to be the best it can be, because unfortunately it’s her last performance,’ writer and producer Joe Colleran told the New York Daily News.

We’re not sure whether releasing the film – described as a psychological thriller following a young couple as their wedding planning turns sinister – is cashing in on her death, and we don’t know how much cash this film will rake in, but it seems to be a result of a lot of hard labour.

The movie was delayed for re-shoots after Brittany’s death and certain locations were hard to secure. Colleran explains, ‘It has been an extremely protracted process, but here we are.’ And apparently Brittany’s performance is ‘chilling’.

What we know for sure is that we really miss Brittany, and if there's anything to be happy about in all of this, it’s the fact she’s left us with brilliant performances in films like Drop Dead Gorgeous, Girl, Interrupted and Clueless.
