The race to the Oscars is well and truly on.
Last night saw the Screen Actors Guild Awards taking place in Hollywood, with the #OscarsSoWhite controversy of previous years seemingly behind the industry, with winners including Viola Davis, Mahershala Ali, Denzel Washington and the cast of Hidden Figures.
The British contingent across the pond did us proud too, with The Crown's leading lady Claire Foy taking home Best Female Actor (her pronunciation of 'Philip' was enough for her to win it in our eyes) and co-star John Lithgow winning Best Male Actor for his spot-on performance of Winston Churchill.
Well on her way to a Best Actress Oscar is of course La La Land's Emma Stone, who took home yet another award for her dazzling performance in the feel-good musical of the year (her trophy cabinet must be getting pretty full right now...) Sadly her co-star Ryan Gosling wasn't so lucky - he lost out to Denzel Washington's incredible turn in Fences (which he also directed).
With the competition really hotting up, here at Grazia we're already pretty excited for Oscars night.
