Britney Spears is totally reigning Las Vegas right now. Her Piece Of Me residency goes all the way into next spring and she's the reason why Vegas promoters can count on younger acts (and younger fans) coming to the gambling strip in the future, says Variety.

But it's not only her bankability that makes her so great; it's that she's also got a heart of gold. David LeCours might have handed over a load of money to do a meet-and-greet with Britney before her show. But he also handed her something priceless; a letter, addressed to the pop princess, describing how she gave him the strength to come out.

He explained via Instagram: 'The letter explained how she helped me get through a real tough period in my life these past couple of months, and I wanted to end it all but she made me strong.'

The letter included this adorable line: 'Thank you for everything Britney. I wouldn’t be able to be so confident and open about my sexuality if your music and you didn’t help me.'

David also said that while still in the building, having left the meet-and-greet, Britney's bodyguard chased him to say that Britney wanted his address so she could respond.

And what a response!

Regardless of the faux-handwriting font, we're totally down with this method of correspondence. It really does seem to come from the heart and takes quite a bit more effort than just an appreciative tweet.

So we salute you, Britney, especially for knocking down the corporate sadness and organised fun that is the meet-and-greet. Now, if we make a strong enough emotional appeal, can we get some flights and tickets to your gigs, please? We want a piece of you.

Plus - Britney isn't the only celebrity to be doing some kind things for their LGBT fans this week. Harry Styles, when performing with One Direction in St. Louis, wore a Michael Sam jersey, reports* TMZ*. Michael Sam being the NFL's (American football's) first openly gay player, whose team is the St. Louis Rams.
