Britney Spears Makes Her Painting Debut

In case you somehow missed it, Britney Spears recently spent an iconic afternoon listening to Mozart's 'Rondo alla Turca' and painting a canvas on an ivy-ridden balcony. As you do with your days off when you’re the Queen of Pop. What you might not know is that Britney donated her masterpiece to an auction raising funds for first responders and victims of October’s Las Vegas shooting. Britney’s piece made a large contribution, selling for $10,000 – to the man auctioning it.

Lucky winner Robin Leach – an entertainment reporter famous for his show The Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous – snapped up Britney’s purple and blue floral magnum opus at the Venetian's Vegas Cares charity concert. He was supposed to be in charge of the lot, but ended up making the highest bid to keep Britney’s original for himself. Understandable.

‘The flowers in my painting represent a new beginning, and it's in that spirit that we move forward,’ Britney said of her artwork in a video message. ‘All the proceeds from the winning bid go to Vegas Cares Memorial Fund. I'm so proud to call Vegas my second home and I'm pleased to participate in this Vegas Cares show.’

Britney seems to be on a generosity streak right now, also donating $1 million in ticket sales from her ongoing Planet Hollywood ‘Piece of Me’ residency to help launch a children’s cancer foundation in Vegas.

Turns out Britney isn't just a quadruple threat, but an outright angel too.
