The nominations for this year's Brit Awards have just been announced - and congratulations are in order for Adele.

The record-breaking singer has been nominated for awards in four categories, including best British female and best album, and looks set to add a couple more trophies to her extensive collection at the ceremony next month. Also up for four awards are Years & Years and last year's Brits Critics Choice winner (and sometimes-Burberry model) James Bay.

Years & Years are joined in the best British group category by One Direction, Coldplay, Foals and Blur, while Amy Winehouse has been recognised with a posthumous nomination for the soundtrack to last year's documentary, *Amy *(which received an Oscar nomination for Best Documentary Feature earlier today).

Performers at the ceremony, which will take place on Wednesday 24 February at the O2 Arena, include Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Jess Glynne and Little Mix.
