It’s been a busy year for Brie Larson.

The whirlwind that was this year's awards season? Promoting epic action flick Kong: Skull Island (yes, her red-carpet wardrobe is everything)? All while keeping us entertained daily with her latest LOL Instagram post of the day – including tween throwbacks and a snap of the 27-year-old happily chilling out in her PJs and a donning a sheet face mask?

Brie, if you’re listening, please be our friend?

The Oscar-winner also has THREE films set for release in 2017. While we thought bagging the Captain Marvel gig was a hot topic, her new movie role is set to be an even bigger talking point...

Larson is set to produce, and play Victoria Woodhull - the first female who was nominated for President of the United States in 1872 (almost 50 years before American women got the right to vote).

‘Amazon bought it in a pitch package deal,’ Deadline report.‘Ben Kopit, who wrote the Warner Bros film Libertine that has Brett Ratner attached to direct, will write the script.

In 1870, Woodhull wrote in the New York Herald: ‘I am quite well aware that in assuming this position I shall evoke more ridicule than enthusiasm at the outset.’

‘But this is an epoch of sudden changes and startling surprises. What may appear absurd today will assume a serious aspect to-morrow.’
