Poor Isaac Hempstead Wright - he's just like any other 18-year-old Fresher at uni, having to navigate moving to a new city, learning how to use a washing machine and getting used to turning up for morning lectures still drunk and feeling like you might puke at your professor. But he'll be facing an extra obstacle as he settles into student life: and that will be the 1000 selfies he'll be asked to partake in every day, because he is Bran Stark from Game Of Thrones. At least for a few weeks, he won't be able to go about his Maths degree in any kind of peace.

The most recent season finale of Game Of Thrones attracted 12.1 million viewers, with Hempstead Wright central to some of the biggest storylines of the season, becoming the new Three-Eyed Raven and spawning fan theories that he might be the Night King. With so much focus on his character, it was inevitable the actor would be increasingly accosted by fans in real life; it's just unfortunate that the timing has coincided with his new-found Freshers freedom.

Already, he is the subject of student culture website The Tab's current top two stories in Birmingham, showing him drinking at the SU bar with his new mates, and featuring accounts of his sightings around campus. Admittedly he looks pretty happy in the pics, and is probably enjoying being Birmingham's new BNOC.

It's reported that Isaac got his place at Birmingham after achieving three As at A Level, in Maths, Further Maths, and Chemistry. He's not only an ace actor, but a very impressive maths whiz too.

Isaac's fellow Birmingham students have been making it their mission to hunt him down, sign him up to societies, and invite him to party, while seemingly being mind-blown that he is in fact a real human person:

In between being mobbed for photos and badgered for GOT spoilers, we're sure Isaac will have a Freshers Week to remember - he'll never be short of a new friend or a free drink.
