After two years of marriage, Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt citing irreconcilable differences, according to TMZ.

‘WHAT? Brangelina? But how?!’ We hear you cry. This is a couple who famously met on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith in 2004, fell in love, had six children together and tied the knot in France after seven years together.

While public scrutiny over the world’s most famous couple was going to be unavoidable, this couple appeared genuinely happy and unaffected by the Hollywood bubble. The epitome of #RelationshipGoals.

While promoting their film By the Sea last year, Angelina opened up about her marriage in a rare interview.‘For me, the big moment was when [we] signed the [joint adoption] papers for Maddox and Zahara,' she told the New York Times. That was a decision to parent together, to commit to being a part of each other’s lives for the rest of my life. So [marriage] wasn’t close in comparison.’
