The actress, who recently welcomed her second daughter with husband Ryan Reynolds, took to Instagram last week to share a very relatable workout snap, providing us with the sort of fitspo we could definitely get on board with.
Instead of showing off her doubtless perfect yoga poses or humble-bragging about how much she can bench-press, Blake’s latest post shows the Gossip Girl star hiding under a den of mats attempting to ‘avoid’ her personal trainer Don Saladino, with the caption ‘#FitnessFriday current mood. @donsaladino gives me reason to hide!’
We feel your pain, Blake – and after seeing the video which her trainer later posted to his Instagram account, we can certainly understand why she was hiding...
Earlier this year, the 29-year-old revealed that she worked with two trainers and a nutritionist in order to get in shape for her role as a stranded surfer in The Shallows, which she filmed shortly after giving birth to her first child, James.
In an interview with Australian TV channel Sunrise, Blake took issue with the scrutiny placed on women’s ‘post-baby’ figures, arguing that it is ‘unfair’ that sometimes unrealistic weight loss is ‘so celebrated.’
‘I think a woman’s body after having a baby is pretty amazing,’ she said. ‘You don’t have to be Victoria’s Secret-ready right away. You’ve just done this incredible miracle that life has to offer. You gave birth to a human being. I would really like to see that celebrated.’
