Forget a soppy declaration of love, for Ryan Reynolds' 41st birthday Blake Lively took the opportunity to serve up a hefty dose of revenge.
If you cast your mind back to August you might remember that for Lively’s birthday Reynolds paid tribute to his wife by posting a pic of the pair with her head cropped out the shot.
Now Reynolds’ birthday has rolled around Lively has got her own back. In fact, she took it one step further and posted a pic of Reynolds with his namesake Ryan Gosling in which you can only see a small slither of her husband’s face. ‘Happy Birthday, baby,’ the caption read.
And this wasn’t the only joke made by the prankster pair. Reynolds jokingly tweeted about how his daughters, James and Inez, celebrated his big day.
‘My kids tried to surprise me for my birthday this morning. I totally heard them coming and snuck out to start a new life somewhere else,’ the actor wrote on Twitter.
Lively and Reynolds met back in 2010 on the set of Green Lantern and started dating the following year. The couple married in September 2012 and share two children together.
