With her Twitter account left neglected for the past few months, we were starting to wonder where Blake Lively had disappeared to. But it might have been down to a lack of wifi on the abandoned rock she's been left stranded on... as the actress broke her silence yesterday with another sneak peek of terrifying new film, The Shallows.
Her first trailer blew us out of the water with fear leaving us questioning the seaside holiday we’ve had our hearts set on this summer. And now the second round of shark-infested drama has us close to cancelling our flights…
The trailer depicts Blake bounding towards the sea surfboard in tow, seemingly unaware of the Great White cooly awaiting her. Cue a scrabble with a shark, blood curling screams and a lonely Blake abandoned upon a rock...we'll be pouring popcorn all over ourselves in fear.
But the actress took to Instagram to soothe our nerves and remind us that she’s been cut out for shark-taming since a young age. After sharing a snap from her upcoming film, looking positively petrified of the shark-infested waters that surround her, she wrote, ‘There’s only one thing more terrifying than this…’
The actress then shared the throwback of all throwbacks depicting a young Blake donning a scrunchie top knot and palm-tree swimsuit perched upon a rather familiar rock... Who knew?
You can take a look at the latest trailer for yourself below. Don’t say we didn’t warn you…

We’ve not seen a lot of Blake Lively of the big screen in recent years, and now we know why. She’s been stuck on a rock with only a seagull, buoy and an antagonistic shark for company.
The premise is simple, if not somewhat bizarre; Blake Lively is surfing on a secluded beach and becomes stranded on a giant rock 200 yards away from the shore. Yeah, 200 yards, 182.88 metres - not that far, but then Blake has a bleeding leg and a sizeable Great White shark to contend with.
Think of it as Blue Crush meets The Revenant.
