Blake Lively Has Been Secretly Working As An Interior Designer

Blake Lively is known for her impeccable taste. She’s a Chanel muse, a front row stalwart and makes pregnancy dressing look easy, so it’s no surprise that she’s got an eye for interior design.

The former Gossip Girl star has revealed via Instagram that she’s developed a side hustle of sorts in recent months, helping her friends make their homes stylish as an interior designer.

‘I design my friends’ homes. For free,’ Lively captioned the photo. ‘Of all the bad decisions I’ve made, this may be the most fun.’

She also revealed how her daughters unwittingly inspire her work, explaining that she often uses their clothing for fabric samples.

It is not the first time that Lively has expressed an interest in the world of design. Last year, she told Harper’s Bazaar US that she would love to help to design weddings during an interview with Gigi Hadid.

Lively previously had her own lifestyle website – Preserve – which was an outlet for these creative interests, connecting her readers to artisan designers, but she closed it down in 2014 after just one year of operation.

The mother-of-two lives with her husband Ryan Reynolds in Westchester County, New York, somewhere near the town of Bedford. While there have been no pictures released of their seven-bedroom abode – which was reportedly $5 million – it is reportedly a farmhouse-style building with acres of land overlooking a tree-lined reservoir. The family count Martha Stewart as a neighbour – who Lively is seemingly giving a run for her money with her burgeoning lifestyle business…
