There is no one who radiates confidence more than Blake Lively, but it appears she suffers with similar body issues to the rest of us.
Speaking at the L’Oreal Galentine’s event she hosted in New York on Monday, Lively told American Vogue how the relationship with her body has shifted since having a family.
Lively - who gave birth to her second daughter last September - spoke frankly about how she has dealt with her changing body shape.
“The past few months, I’ve learned to love my body in every iteration. And it’s a challenge. It’s something that I have to remind myself of every single time I put on an outfit that doesn’t fit like it used to—or doesn’t fit at all!” Lively explained.
She also shared some pretty inspiring advice for other mothers.
“You have to learn to forgive yourself—to say, ‘I’m working. I’m a dedicated mother. I’m a good friend. I’m a great wife.’ Try not to beat yourself up about it.”
When asked about the guidance she gives her daughters - James and Ines - Lively highlighted the importance of inner beauty.
“It sounds so hokey but beauty does come from the inside,” Lively said. “It comes from confidence. It comes from people that you love and you loving yourself.”
