And then there were five!
According to US Weekly, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds welcomed their third child within the last two months.
The actor couple who got married in 2012, already have two daughters: James aged four and Inez who turned three on Monday. (Happy belated birthday, Inez!) It was first revealed they were having a expecting a new baby in May when Lively, 35, and Reynolds, 42, attended the Pokémon: Detective Pikachu premiere and the actress wore an appropriately Pikachu-yellow dress which showed her baby bump.
It has been reported the baby arrived nearly two months ago, but the couple have held off on announcing the birth publicly so we’re yet to know the new baby’s name.
Not long after Blake’s third pregnancy was revealed, a source close to the couple told People magazine that Lively and Reynolds were “so happy and excited about having another baby," and that they are “very hands-on parents” who would “have a dozen kids if they could." Both Ryan and Blake come from large families with Blake being one of five and Ryan the youngest of four boys.
In 2016, just after the birth of Inez, Ryan toldPeople magazine, “If I could have nine daughters, I would be thrilled. Really, like I genuinely would be.”
No reason has been given as to why the couple chose not to announce the birth publicly but it’s not that surprising for a couple who are quite private and have said they want to raise their children as normally as possible. The couple made their first public appearance with both James and Inez in December 2016, when the Ryan received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Lively told once Marie Claire, "Ryan had a nice, normal upbringing, and we want our kids to have the same normal life that we had.”
Congrats on the new(ish) arrival
