Last week marked nine years since the world lost Crocodile Hunter and all-round excellent person Steve Urwin, following his fatal accident involving a stingray off the coast of Australia.

Bindi, his daughter, who was just eight at the time, is now 17. She’s currently in the US filming Dancing With The Stars.

Sunday was Father’s Day in Australia, where Bindi’s from, and, in tribute she posted the above picture on Instagram. In it, she praised the people who work at Australia Zoo, her father's legacy, and her father Steve who’s heart ‘lives forever’ in the zoo.

In the years since her father’s death, Bindi has been busy hosting her own documentary show, a game show, appearing in movies, performing as a singer and releasing a kids’ fitness DVD. She donates 10% of all her earnings to Wildlife Warriors, a charity set up by her parents in 2002 to protect endangered animals.
