Beyoncé and younger sister Solange Knowles have made history as the first set of sisters to both have number one selling albums.

The news comes following Solange’s release of album Seat at the Table, which sold over 72,000 copies in the first week alone and reached the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart.

Beyoncé on the other hand has racked up six number one selling albums in total, including her latest success, Lemonade.

The only other A-list siblings to have ever achieved such a milestone are Michael and Janet Jackson in 2001 with their hits, Invincible and All For You.

Solange’s third studio album met critical acclaim with celebrities far and wide seeking to congratulate her via social media.

Her sister Beyoncé proved she was the biggest fan however, with an Instagram post depicting how proud she was as she wrote, ‘Congrats to my sister on creating this beautiful work of art. I could not be more proud of you @saintrecords. A Seat At The Table is available today!’

Here’s to hoping for a collab sometime soon…
