Beyoncé has pulled the plug on her May 5 Formation World Tour Date in Nashville, with no reason being given for the mysterious cancellation.

The singer has just kicked off her world tour after the explosive release of her new album Lemonade, and while the show at the Nissan Stadium in Nashville is expected to be rescheduled, no alternative date has yet been given.

Rumoured reasons for the show cancellation include stadium renovation and low ticket sales (the cancelled date was not a sell-out).

"Following Wednesday's sold out opening night Formation World Tour concert in Miami, promoters Live Nation announced that the Nashville concert previously scheduled for Thursday, May 5 will be rescheduled,” her spokesperson told E! News.

"Details about the rescheduled date will be announced shortly and Nashville tickets holders are advised to retain their tickets which will be honoured at the rescheduled event."

TMZ suggest that some major work on the stadium, including the installation of new seats, could be the reason behind the Beyoncé no-show.
