The impeccable sartorial know-how of our favourite A-listers at last night’s ceremony provided essential desk-side chatter this morning, as we’ve spent the past few hours scrawling through the red carpet gems.
But how do the stars prep for the prestigious event? Well, we incessantly scrolled through our Instagram feed ahead of the ceremony last night in a desperate attempt to source any clues which could give us the answers we're looking for.
How long does it take the average celebrity to prep for the red carpet? Who helps assist them in getting ready? What did they plan on wearing? How do guests travel to the ceremony? Who attended the after party? Did anyone partake in a little dad dancing?
Well, the best way to source such information is not necessarily from paparazzi snaps or red carpet poses but through Instagram.
So we’ve rounded up the best from last night’s celebrations:
John Krasinsksi and Emily Blunt
John Krasinsksi and wife Emily Blunt are forever giving us #CoupleGoals and last night was no different. Clearly proud of Emily's nomination for 'Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role' in Girl on the Train, her husband took to the social media platform to express his congratulations. The Instagram snap depicts the couple heading to the awards, looking a little caught off-guard.
Chrissy Teigen
Turns out it's not just us who are obsessed with all things La La Land. Chrissy Teigen and husband John Legend took to Instagram last night to share their excitement at bumping into star of the musical, Ryan Gosling. We wonder who asked for the photograph? Fan girl alert.
Kerry Washington
Ever since Donald Trump was inaugurated as the new President of the United States, Hollywood has been vocal in its backlash against his controversial policies. Most notably, his recent ban preventing muslims from seven countries entering the USA and banning Syrian refugees seeking asylum. And at last night's ceremony, it was no different, as guests rallied against Trump.
Emma Stone spoke out about the 'inexcusable and scary' things happening in today's America, Ashton Kutcher declared, 'I welcome everyone in airports that belong in my America' and Big Bang Theory's Simon Helberg held a sign emblazoned with the words, 'Refugees Welcome'.
Kerry Washington was one actress who took to Instagram to voice her opinion on Trump's controversial policy. Washington donned a safety pin on the sleeve of her Roberto Cavalli dress in response as she wrote: 'I'll be wearing one of these tonight. On my arm. To show solidarity. We will not stop fighting for our safety & the safety of our fellow citizens and human beings. #NoBanNoWall #safetypin.'
Caleb McLaughlin
When you're a 15-year-old star, who do you possibly take to the SAG Awards? Your mum of course. Caleb McLaughlin shared a sweet snap of him and his mum ahead of the evening. And when it was announced that cult series 'Stranger Things' won big, taking home the award for 'Oustanding Performance by an Ensemble', we imagine his mum was proud as punch.
And our favourite moment from the ceremony? When the teen squad discovered that they had won. Caleb shared the poignant moment via Instagram and we can't help but smile at the thought of him looking back at the footage in the future.
Kaley Cuoco
There's nothing we love more than behind-the-scenes snaps of guests prepping for the evening's events. And Kaley Cuoco gave us a sneak peek at the squad responsible for her stunning aesthetic.
The 'Big Bang' actress also shared a sweet snap of the real star of the night, her pup Ruby.
