The 72nd Venice Film Festival is finally upon us, which means we can expect some pretty sensational outfits over the next few days.
First up was the jury panel photocall on Wednesday, in which appeared a veritable garden of flora...
Diane Kruger worked a fantastic feminine/masculine look, teaming an exquisite Preen By Thornton Bregazzi Resort 2016 floral minidress with socks and Chelsea boots, whilst fellow jury member, Elizabeth Banks, also wore florals, from top to toe in fact; her floral-printed dress was complemented perfectly by a pair of floral-embellished sandals.
Think that was it on the floral front? Nope! Other jury member, actress Paz Vega, wore a blue, pink and tanned flower-printed sleeveless dress, and if that wasn't enough, screenwriter Alix Delaporte wore an entire tree. Literally.
Next-up, the Everest photocall, and what did lead star Emily Watson wear? Yes, you guessed it, florals! Emily opted for a unique multi-patterned pink, red and peach long-sleeved day dress, with a polka dot neckline.
Later that day, at the Everest premiere, the stars appeared to exchange their florals for whites. Victoria Secrets Angel Alessandra Ambrosio lived up to her angelic title looking heaven-sent in a cutout white Philosophy gown. Similarly, Diane Kruger looked positively regal, also in white, in her floor-length Prada dress with an impressive embellished train.
What did Elizabeth Banks wear? Yup, white as well – a Dolce and Gabbana Couture gown which featured two back bows, embellished with crystals. Equally statuesque, though not in white, was Fiammetta Cicogna, who wore an ornate baroque-patterned A-line Alberta Ferretti gown.
One of the most anticipated events of the week was The Danish Girl premiere, which saw Amber Heard wow in McQueen and Alicia Vikander go girly in frills by Louis Vuitton. Meanwhile, Kristen Stewart is on a fashion roll in Chanel as she promotes her movie Equals.
Stay tuned for more fabulous looks from Venice.
