The path from modelling to acting is a well-worn one, from the likes of Cameron Diaz and Brooke Shields to the more recent cohort of catwalk regulars turned movie stars such as Cara Delevingne and Agyness Deyn. Now, it seems that another famous face could be set to join their ranks: Bella Hadid.
Speaking to InStyle, the younger Hadid sister revealed that she’d like to give acting a try as a way of better showcasing her personality.
‘People think that I don’t smile and I’m super cold… With acting you can show more of who you are,’ she told the magazine. Given that she’s already a fixture on the Croisette when the Cannes Film Festival comes around, surely this career move would make sense…
‘I would have to get a hold of my ADD, but otherwise I think it would be fun,’ she added, alluding to her Attention Deficit Disorder.
Turning the conversation back to her current endeavours, the model debunked the myth that her and her sister Gigi have had an easy ride when it comes to their careers thanks to their famous parents.
‘I’m not saying I don’t love my job, but people think modelling is a bullsh-t thing to become more famous,’ she said. ‘I was 100 percent independent by the time I was 18, and I paid for my own apartment. That wasn’t because of my parents. I worked my ass off for two years.’
