Last night saw the some of the UK's brightest acting talents (and some unexpected appearances from the likes of Josh Hartnett, Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick) take to the red carpet at London's Royal Festival Hall to celebrate achievements in British television.

When it came to hair and make-up, simple and fresh was the order of the day - no doubt thanks to the uncharacteristically temperate London weather...

Heida Reed

Anna Kendrick

Anna, who's in town promoting her brand new film Trolls (as in, the creepy peroxide haired dolls that traumatised you as a child), offset her sequinned Altuzarra dress with a dramatic side parting and slicked back hair.

Gemma Chan

We're obsessed with Gemma's glossy centre part, easy breezy summer waves and rose-tinted blush and lips.

Claire Foy

The Wolf Hall actress kept her red carpet look simple, with a fresh pink lip (created using MAC's Lip Conditioner (£12)) and radiant skin.

Georgia May Foote

Georgia May was another star to opt for a dramatic centre parting and glossy finish. Try Aveda's Smooth Infusion Style Prep Smoother (£21) and Brilliant Spray-On Shine (£20) to banish frizz and fly aways and add shine without weighing down your hair.

Eleanor Tomlinson

Matching your dress to your eye make-up was a stand out trend at the Oscars earlier this year, and we love how Poldark star Eleanor has subtly played up the colour of her Alberta Ferretti gown with a smudge of shimmering green around the eyes.
