The Apprentice hopeful Jenny Garbis has spoken out about it is harder to be respected at work as an attactive woman.

Jenny was (spoiler alert) axed from the show last night after Lord Sugar failed to be impressed with her behaviour in the boardroom, and while he claimed she was just "not very good", she left telling the cameras that one day Sir Alan would be "knocking on my door" with a business plan.

But Jenny has told The Sun that being an attractive woman at work has made it harder for her to find success in the business world.

“I almost find it harder being an attractive woman in business because people can’t take you seriously".

She added that she'd rather be respected for her business acumen than her looks, but it was hard to shift perceptions.

“That’s always difficult. I’d like to think people would hire me because of the way I speak and everything I know about the industry and my passion for it rather than, ‘She looks nice’.”

She also said that she's faced criticism about her motives for appearing on the show: “People think, ‘Ah, she wants fame’ – that’s because of the way I look.”

And while TV is not where she wants to go in the future, Jenny would consider a role if it suited her ambitions.

“I want to remain credible as a business person" she said, but “If other stuff comes up TV-wise then I’ll look at that".
