To mark the 20th anniversary of Princess Diana's untimely death in a Paris car crash in 1997, mourners left flowers outside Kensington Palace, her surviving sons Prince William and Harry visited her memorial gardens, and artist Endless painted a colourful murial on the side of a routemaster bus.
The London-based grafitti artist created the design using a well-known Mario Testino image of the late Princess wearing a tiara. The uncanny likeness etched in black stands out against a blue and purple backdrop, while the hashtag #EndlessDiana is emblazoned next to it. Previous subjects of his work include the Queen, as well as Rita Ora and Victoria Beckham - which all had a regal theme. Indeed, his picture of the latter as part of his 'The Royal Variety Adornment' show at Chelsea Waterside Art Space, sees the fashion designer transformed into Queen Victoria.

The People's Princess has been overwhelmingly present in the news throughout the past few weeks in the lead-up to this big anniversary of her death. There have been endless think pieces dedicated to her enduring legacy and what it means (most notably one by Hilary Mantel on the Guardian, which had been shared over 20,000 times at last count) as well as a slew of documentaries remembering her life and death.
Her sons Princes William and Harry spoke in detail for the first time about the affect that her death had on their lives, as well as what kind of mother and person she was, in HBO's Diana, Our Mother earlier last month. Another, unofficial documentary, saw her private tapes during a speech therapy session being leaked - a move which was met with much criticism and controversy.
There has also been a coffee table book released, Remembering Diana: A Life in Photographs, which shows never-before-seen images of the soon-to-be royal as a child, as well as various interviews given by the royal family about her.
