If you've happened to scroll through Twitter at any point in the last 24 hours you'll notice one common theme, Ariana Grande is everywhere. From Twitter moments about her painful ponytail to a million reactions to her new song, thank u, next, her online influence knows no bounds. Now, in what is at least the fifth Twitter moment about her incredible break up anthem, we have found the best thread yet, the meme reaction.
Really, at this point news is not news until there's a meme reaction, and since Ariana's lyrics are so relatable (so much so that the song received over eight million plays in the first day of it's surprise release), there really is a mountain of memes to laugh at. The best so far are coming from the lyrics 'one taught me love, one taught me patience, one taught me pain', in reference to her ex-boyfriends which she name-checks on the song - which every one is know relating to iconic TV and film characters.
However, our favourite Twitter reaction of the entire lot was by far when someone jokingly asked who Ariana's therapist was (because we clearly all need her level of positivity), and she responded with a heartfelt response about seeking therapy if you need it. This woman can really do no wrong.
Then there's the memes that came from the Aubrey debacle, when fans thought the 'someone else' she had met was named 'Aubrey' not 'Ari', and had a full-on panic that she was moving on with Drake. She's not, don't worry, but as far as iTunes was aware she was, as the music app included the lyric Aubrey in their lyric breakdown, to which she tweeted correcting them (bets on Drake using this as an excuse to slide into her DM's).
The cutest though come from super-fans that have edited videos together of her with all her former boyfriends, since everyone was very confused as to who Ricky was when she sang 'wrote a few songs about Ricky, now I look back and laugh'. For your information, he was her backup dancer on The Honeymoon Tour, whom she dated for over a year after splitting with Big Sean. Supposedly, the song Moonlight is about him.
Of course, the memes truly speak for themselves, so have a scroll for the best ones to brighten up this dreary Tuesday...
So there you have it, all of the best Ariana-themed memes to combat the Tuesday afternoon slump. You're welcome. Now go forth and conquer the day with the positivity Ariana would want, we can learn love, patience and pain from our 5pm meeting, right? Maybe just the last two...
