The Argos Catalogue is no more. After 48 years, last year the company announced that they were stopping printing the catalogue that gave us hopes and dreams for pre-birthdays and Christmases.
But apart from being packed full of toys we were desperate for (hi Mr Frosty), did you know it was also filled with celebs at the start of their career doing modelling jobs?
Well, you do now. Take a look at the truly incredible nostalgia fest of stars including Tess Daly and Holly Willoughby.
Celebrities who started their careers modelling in the Argos catalogue
Holly Willoughby
Long before everyone's favourite daytime darling was dubbed 'Holly Willobooby', Holly was seen posing in £19.90 bras for Argos. Can you imagine what Keith Lemon would say about this?
Arnold Schwarzenegger
Apparently if you bought this 'Super Strength Builder' from this '80s catalogue, you too could have muscles like '5 times Mr. Universe' Arnold Schwarzenegger. To us it looks more like a torture device.
Emma Bunton
When Emma Bunton literally was Baby Spice, she got her first taste of fame flogging Slumberdown duvets in the early 80s. Good practice for her later stints promoting crisps, fizzy drinks, lollipops, chocolate bars and anything else that could fit the word 'Spice' on.
Emma Willis
Before becoming one of Britain's most sought-after TV presenters, Emma Willis was a pretty successful model, working for brands such as Vogue, GAP and Chanel. But everyone has to start somewhere, right?
Tess Daly
Tess Daly's early '00s modelling was a million miles away from the glitz and glamour of the Strictly ballroom, but in this beige combo she could have been an early shoo-in for Taylor's Cardi Crew.
Rob James-Collier
It's hard to imagine in these smart phone times that we once needed to buy a separate calculator to do our sums and part with £14.99 for the privilege. Still Downton's Rob James-Collier looks thrilled with his.
Michelle Collins
Michelle Collins looks like she could have snapped up these snazzy looks from Walford Market. But no, this was high-end catalogue wear back in the day.
Lisa Snowdon
Wonder if it was Lisa Snowdon's pleather snakeskin bomber that helped her snag Hollywood legend George Clooney? Either way, she certainly knows how to work some flammable fabrics.
