Love Island 2019 winner Amber Gill has divided followers after tweeting about the government's handling of coronavirus. Obviously referencing the Dominic Cummings saga, when the government's most senior advisor travelled from London to Durham in March - and then drove to Barnard Castle in April to 'test his eyesight' before driving back to London the next month, Amber said: 'After I saw that man drive all the way up the country to check his eyesight with a hot box of corona & the gov defended him I knew I wasn’t listening to a damn thing after that.'
Obviously, her tweet has split fans and followers. Many agree with the reality star who endorsed Labour at the last election - and still echoes the same sentiments, especially with how the government havecontinued to handle the crisis. 'This,' one follower replied. 'We've all been seeing our wider family for months now and cases have been steady. They're shooting up since the government encouraged us to eat out, go on holiday, sent kids back to schools, and adults back to work.... And now look who's getting punished!'
'Finally someone with a bit of sense,' another wrote. 'Enough of the lies England are being fed, it’s time to stand up to an incompetent government and all the blind sheep who just see Tory and think “I’ll vote for that” even when it’s bullshit.'
A lot didn't share Amber's thoughts, though. 'What bullshit,' one said. 'People need to take some personal accountability. I didn't suddenly start breaking the rules cause Cummings did, cause I knew how it would impact society. Unfortunately many people need to be hearded like sheep.'
Another added, 'What an absolutely ridiculous way of thinking about it. This way of thinking is why so many people died due to the pandemic.'

The winners of the first winter Love Island are still together, thank you very much. (They really are a cute couple.) Finn made the six-hour drive to Paige's house in West Lothian, Scotland just before lockdown happened. She has since even cut his hair in lockdown.
