Tattoo Fixers is no longer on TV, but, if it was, we wouldn't be surprised if we ever saw Amanda Seyfried walk into the parlour. As the actress has had 'minge' tattooed on her body, more specifically her foot, since 2014.
Yes, really - she has 'minge' tattooed on her foot.
In the UK, we obviously think of 'minge' as 'vagina' - but in the US, apparently it doesn't meant the same thing. So it now makes a whole lot more sense that Amanda and her Mamma Mia co-star, Rachel McDowall and Ashley Lilley, all have the tattoo on their feet in pretty cursive writing.
In an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers in 2018, Amanda set the record straight about the tatt, saying 'minge' is a 'term of endearment' to her. 'It’s a term of endearment, and in England, it means "vagina,"' Seyfried said. 'But in the US, which is where I spend most of my time, it just doesn’t mean anything. So we commemorated out friendship with "minge" tattoos.' As you do.
'There’s a lot of judgment,' she added. But the mixed meaning - and continuous laughter from us here in the UK - obviously doesn't bother the actress at all. 'It’s fine,' she continued. 'It means so much more to me than vagina.'
And the further proof is that her Instagram handle is still @mingey.
However, we do think Amanda might have been in on the joke, because when the trio got the tattoo, she posted a photo to Instagram of their feet with the caption: 'It's complete #constantineandrachel #ilovecumming #feets.'
Hmmmm. Anyway, you do you, Amanda.
