This week Amal and George Clooney welcomed their twins Ella and Alexander, and naturally Amal's mother Baria Alamuddin is over the moon at the new additions to her family.
'Seeing these two angels, these stunningly beautiful babies…cuddled together, and seeing the joy on Amal and George’s faces, it’s one of those deeply felt beautiful feelings you can’t express in words,' the journalist told People.
Alamuddin, who already has eight other grandchildren, was at the births and described how the moment brough her 'almost unrealistic pure joy', and how she felt like 'the most blessed human being on earth'.
Alamuddin was also quick to praise Amal and George on their new found parenting skills. 'You just look at them and you feel like they’ve been a mother and father for their whole lives,' she commented.
Amal's mother is not the only grandparent to speak out about the twins, George's dad Nick also spoke to People. 'Amal looked great. George looked more harried than she did,' he joked.
