Alison Hammond’s Been Travelling The Country Viewing Houses She Can’t Afford From Rightmove

“When I turn up to see the houses, they think I’m going to buy them, because ‘It’s Alison Hammond off the telly, isn’t it? Obviously she can afford it.' Which I obviously can't!"

As if anyone needed any reason to love Alison Hammond more than they already do - and now, she’s revealed yet more iconic behaviour: she’s obsessed with looking on Rightmove.

The term ‘property porn’ is the absolute worst, but who doesn’t love having a nose around a home that’s not your own, swiping through the best and worst of the homes on the market? No. One.

Property prices are still on the rise and last month had the biggest monthly rise since 2007 (they’re now at £267,587, house-buying fans!). But don’t let a budget put you off - Alison doesn’t let money get in the way of her viewings; iconic behaviour for the ages, right?

She’s got the Rightmove app on her phone, and is absolutely hooked. Best thing is, people think she’s loaded when she turns up to the viewings and Alison’s not going to correct them.

“Looking on Rightmove is my current obsession,” she admitted in an interview with Prima magazine. “I go to see houses I can’t afford. Whenever I’m travelling around the country, I will put in ‘current area’ and I’ll just see what’s on offer.

“When I turn up to see the houses, they think I’m going to buy them, because ‘It’s Alison Hammond off the telly, isn’t it? Obviously she can afford it’. Which I obviously can’t! I go and see £10 million house that I can’t afford and they think I’m going to buy them. I love houses. My mum always used to say you have to have a dream and something to aspire to, so that’s my dream.”

Give this woman a damehood already.
