Adele, 28-year-old mega star, worth a casual £85 million, is probably the biggest British pop star, if not, the biggest in the world – no big deal. No big deal at all. You know her right? Of course you do. Well, she’s basically all of us. Why, you ask? She only went and got her bloody credit card declined in H&M.
Adele was attempting to buy her clothes in good old Hennes ahead of her gig in San Jose’s SAP arena, but had to cancel the transaction when the payment was declined. She described the incident as ‘Oh my days, pretty embarrassing.’ It didn’t end there though, as apparently no one knew who she was...erm sorry what now? I find hard to believe – if Adele even stood behind you, you would feel her aura. I reckon she has a very overwhelming aura, a fantastic one but extremely overpowering. There’s no way you wouldn’t notice that. Adele then went to pick some beauty bits up from Sephora, where her dog tried to fight another dog. As dogs do, even Adele's.
There are two things we need to take away from this story. One, Adele is a massive babe that still shops in H&M even though she can afford Hermes. What a girl. Two, she is all of us. Hands up if you’ve had an awkward run in at a cash desk when you’re trying to buy a £1 pair of knickers in Primark (who, buy the way, according to The Sun, Adele is also a fan of) then your card gets declined. Guilty. We are all guilty, Adele included.
