Adele is famously guarded about her private life but in a new interview with OK! Magazine she has opened up about parenthood.

The Grammy award winner spoke candidly about being a mother, and raising her son, Angelo, now four, to be a feminist.

“I’m raising him to respect women,” she told the publication.

And her method for doing so is pretty straightforward.

“He knows I’m a powerful force. He feels it at home, let alone when he comes to work with me. And he comes everywhere with me anyway!” she said.

The singer, who is about to start the Australian leg of her tour, was seen touching down in Sydney with Angelo in tow earlier this week.

Previously Adele has spoken about how motherhood turned her world upside down.

“It's the greatest thing I ever did. Now I have a purpose”, Adele told The Sun last year. “I want him to be proud of me and understand why I do this.”

And the 28-year-old is hoping to grow her family in 2017. At the end of her world tour last November, Adele told the Phoenix crowd she was taking some time off to have another child.

“I’ll see you later, I’ll see you on the other side. In a couple of years when I’ll be back, you won’t be able to get rid of me. I’m going to go and have another baby,” Adele told fans.
