Due to the coronavirus pandemic, many musicians have had to seriously rethink their busy schedules. While some have had to postpone, or cancel, massive tours - others have pushed back the release of new music. Lady Gaga{ =nofollow}- who curated the One World: Together At Home concert - told fans last month that she was delaying the release of her sixth album, as she worked to help coronavirus relief efforts.

And now, it sounds like Adele might also be releasing her next album later than expected.

The speculation comes after the singer tuned into an Instagram Live between producers Babyface and Teddy Riley on Saturday night, because when the chat was continually interrupted by technical issues, Adele{ =nofollow}commented: 'Come on, it’s 2020 – we ain’t meant to get what we want!' And understandably, following the cryptic comment, fans are now worrying that her album might not be released in September after all.

Adele - who separated from ex-husband Simon Konecki in April 2019 - accidentally revealed that her album was due in September when she attended her friend Laura Dockrill's wedding reception last month. And in January, her manager Jonathan Dickins also said Adele was due to release the follow up to her 2015 album 25 'the sooner [it comes out] the better.'

However, whatever happens, we're sure the album will be worth the wait, as last month OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder - who is collaborating with Adele on the new album - said she 'sounds better than ever'. Ryan, who has previously helped the singer write Rumour Has It and Turning Tables, toldThe Sun, 'I'll just say that she sounds better than ever.'
