It's been a productive 12 months on the fresh style front with exciting newbies dressing for themselves, rather than subscribing to the cut-out-and-keep guide to stardom. Here's who should be on your radar for 2016:
Selena Gomez
The butter-wouldn't-melt star took on a slinky persona for 2015. Thigh-splits to here, silk slip dresses, as well as excellent tailored and printed looks.
Zendaya
A chameleonic singer who can do pocket (print) rocket in Fausto Puglisi and chic street style at Paris Fashion Week. The September shows really put her on the map: 10 outfit changes in 72 hours.
Lily James
Giving top-notch promo-trail cuteness thanks to the lead role in Cinderella, Lily is one to watch at awards seasons of the future.
Mia Moretti
Whether it's the addition of a turban, a tricky layering technique or a pair of doorknocker earrings, DJ Mia is our go-to maven for alt-accessorising.
Dakota Johnson
_50 Shades of Grey_may have provided the most butt-clenching instances of the year, but it also brought Dakota to our attention. She kocked 'em dead in off-the-shoulder Dior at Paris Fashion Week.
Ruby Rose
We started to see more of Ruby outside of her *Orange Is The New Black prison costume this year. With her clompy trainers, hoodies and refreshingly androgynous style, she spearheaded the gender-neutral dressing trend.
St. Vincent
AKA Annie Clark, this eclectic dresser accompanied her girlfriend Cara Delevingne to many a fashion event – and stood out for her unique and chic combinations. Gothic caped crusader at the Brit Awards and her black lattice-cut Burberry Prorsum dress at London Fashion Week were two highlights.
Martha Hunt
The latest Victoria's Secret girl to make her mark (with clothes on) is American babe Martha. Obviously, she looks good in itsy-bitsy things, but we like her casual, off-duty days more.
Lily-Rose Depp
Model/actress/genetic blessing of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis. This young'un (17. Yes really) has a firm fashion relationship with the house of Chanel and cheekbones to make angels weep.
