Apparently VOGA is for everyone. As someone who is not a yoga fan, but loves to dance the new VOGA craze sweeping the nation intrigued me.

House Of VOGA hosted a series of VOGA sessions in collaboration with Coq d’Argent that were so successful that they have teamed up again to bring us a host of winter classes, so me and my equally-yoga-hating friend thought we’d put it to the test.

We donned our loudest workout gear (a mean feat for someone who only wears black), and trotted down to the heart of Bank to see what all the fuss is about.

The sessions are held on the amazing rooftops of Coq d’Argent that over look central London, but are so high up that you feel totally a peace.

Our totally fabulous, and ridiculously flexible instructor took us though an hour of intense Voguing with some hardcore Yoga moves thrown in. But this really is for everyone, while my friend turned out to be a natural at the Downward Dog, I spent the majority of the class dancing my way through like I was an extra in Paris Is Burning.

After the session, we both felt like we had had a fun workout, not too strenuous, but definitely worth it!

So, what can you expect from the new winter sessions?

Classes will be held on the last Sunday of every month in Coq d’ Argent’s beautiful winter terrace ‘Lodge d’Argent’. Complete with cozy rugs, heaters and festive cheer – the perfect place for a little VOGA-ing!

What is VOGA?

Voga is a fusion of yoga and ‘vogeuing’, set to an iconic 80s soundtrack. This winter House of VOGA will introduce the VOGA FLEX series, designed to increase flexibility. Guaranteed to work deep into the muscles whilst increasing the pulse, this series offers new challenges and surprises for those who breezed the vogue style arm co-ordination of series one and two.

Following the classes why not stay and enjoy the view (we certainly did!) and treat yourself to a selection of winter warmer Lodge d’Argent drinks, healthy mocktails such as Virgin Apple Mojito (Apple juice, mint, fresh lime, topped with soda) and Elderflower Collins (Elderflower cordial, mint and sugar married with lemonade).

And if all that is a little too healthy for you then indulge in warming dishes such as Choux-fleurs (Crème Dubarry, cauliflower velouté, poached egg, shaved autumn black truffles) and _Fromage de chèvre (Baked Poitou goats’ cheese, black olives, candied beetroot, sherry vinegar and honey dressing); which can be enjoyed a_longside some Lodge d’Argent classics such as creamy tartiflette and chestnut macaroons.

Well, you have earned it!
