Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are not only actors, filmmakers and humanitarians – they also as of this week sell wine on the high street.
Their 2014 Miraval Rose is now hitting Marks and Spencer for £18. The wine was produced on their very own £41 Million Provence vineyard (yep, that's the French estate where they got married), with support of their famous winemaker pal Mark Perrin.
But it’s not just been the A-Lister’s names that made this wine a hit. Experts all over the world have been praising it, including Decanter Magazine saying it has ‘a sense of power alongside the elegance ... with a delicious mouth-watering finish' and being on the Wine Spectator Top 100 Wines of 2013 list.
In case you’re wondering what the Pitts-Jolie wine tastes like, M&S described it as an ‘intriguing pale pink rose with strawberry, white pear and floral aromas with summer berry, wild herb and tangy tangerine flavours balanced by a refreshing acidity.'
The Miraval has been extremely popular, with the 2012 shipment selling out in just 2 days. M&S drinks buyer Emma Dawson is more than optimistic and reckons they’re ‘launching what could well be the most famous rose in the world.’
If you want a bottle, you'll have to move quickly as they are going to be stocked in only 17 stores across the UK and it isn't available online.
