Winged liner. The quintessentially elegant beauty look, and also one of the hardest nuts to crack. A combination of dexterity and patience is required - something few of us have at 7am in the morning as we do our makeup. Yet, for those willing to try (and try, and try again) the results can be truly breathtaking. Longer looking lashes, a more open-looking eye and utter French sophistication are some of the many benefits of that sleek flicked line, and it's the little black dress of makeup. It goes with everything from evening dresses to jeans and tee.
Determind to master it, our beauty assistant Daniela sat down with face painter supremo, Louise Constad to learn how the pros do it (we used this Rimmel eyeliner). Louise has teamed up with Boots as part of their 'Let's Give It A Go' campaign, which means there's loads of offers across all your favourite makeup, nail and hair brands in Boots until the 14th of April. Because what's a better excuse to give winged eyeliner (or a bold lip, or a new 'do) a go than being able to score all you need at a totally bargainous price?
Be sure to come back next week for another oh-so-simple masterclass in some must-try beauty trends - what Louise doesn't know about makeup isn't worth knowing, frankly. Having worked with every A Lister going (Kristin Scott Thomas is a fan, as well Naomi Campbell and Cate Blanchett. She even worked with Lauren Bacall!) and being behind the scenes at many a fashion magazine photoshoot, Louise is a seasoned authority when it comes to makeup. Plus, she's an all-round lovely human being. Aren't you lucky?
