Selena Gomez'slatest TikTok spotlights her daily skincare routine and it has caused quite a stir. The singer and founder of Rare Beauty took to the app to show her 45.2 million loyal followers how she removes her make-up, cleanses and moisturisers. A pretty standard GRWM video, you might argue. It would have been if Selena hadn't left fans baffled by a few arguably niche steps.
First of all, forget cleansing oils, Selena uses an achingly expensive serum to remove her make-up. Selena made a play for La Mer's The Concentrate (which goes for £435 a pop if you want the full size) to whip away her foundation and eyeshadow. Ever transparent though, Selena does note in her caption that she was gifted most of the products used in the video and advises followers that any serum can be used to do the job.
This is just one in a series of unusual skincare tips that Selena showcases in her TikTok. Intrigued? Here we break down every step in Selena's bizarre, but brilliant skincare routine:

A Step-By-Step Of Selena Gomez's Skincare Routine - Grazia 2023
Step 1 - Make-up Removal With Serum
Beginning with La Mer's The Concentrate, Selena applies the serum all over her face before massaging it in, and advises her followers to 'use any serum to take off make up before washing. It breaks it up nicely.'
Step 2 - Micellar Water
To ensure her make-up is removed, Selena follows up by saturating a flannel with Bioderma's Sensibio Cleansing Micellar Water, £11, and swipes this all over. There's a cleansing method that we all know and love.
Step 3 - Eye Make-Up Removal
She loads what appears to be a Baby Beauty Blender with the sameCleansing Micellar Water and removes any make-up still left around her delicate eye area.
Step 4 - Toner
Selena then applies Dermalogica Multi Active Toner, £13, with what we can only guess is Face Halo's Make Up Remover Pad, £7.
Step 5 - Face Oil
Turning cream before oil rule on its head, Selena uses La Mer's The Renewal Oil, £205, to nourish her skin before applying her moisturiser.
Step 6 - Moisturiser
Step six sees Selena quench her skin with Tatcha's The Water Cream, £63, which immediately doses her complexion up with a pretty impressive glow.
Step 7 - More Moisturiser
For extra nourishment, Selena opts for the Laneige's Radian-C Cream, £22.50, which concludes the skincare portion of the video.
