Refy is the brand of the moment right now. For those of us living in a city, you'll be hard pressed to find a corner without a billboard of founder Jess Hunt with her deftly fluffed eyebrows and perfectly plumped lips. Since its launch back in 2020, beauty creators have been quick to lend their seal of approval to the products, in particular the brow sculpt. Now, having launched into the skincare sphere (via a sparkly new cleanser and moisturiser) fans have expressed excitement once more. Commenters flooded Refy's latest Instagram post to express their glee - 'SO excited to get this in my hands!' typed one, while another wrote 'I can’t wait to purchase! This is the launch of 2025 I needed!'

The new collection is a succinct edit comprising of the Face Cleanse cleanser and the Face Sculpt moisturiser. Designed for every day use, Refy promise 'real time instant results that will improve your base over time.' So far, so good. But does it truly deliver? Our beauty team have been putting the new skincare launches to the test? The results are in…

Refy say: 'An innovative 2-in-1 cleanser that instantly removes your makeup while cleansing and hydrating your skin.'

Rachael Martin, beauty editor says: 'I'm typically cautious of foaming cleansers- in my experience it's tricky to get one that provides a deep cleanse without leaving that tight, squeaky feeling behind. I want my skin to feel clean, of course, but soothed and hydrated with it. Which is why this is one of few exceptions. It applies as a serum then lathers up gently, whisking away make-up while leaving skin feeling cleansed and soothed - a soft, circular, massaging motion works well here to reveal the whipped up texture. But what, exactly, is it that makes this cleanser feel so satisfying? It contains wonder ingredient Trealix for starters which the brand say is 'clinically proven to boost hydration within 30 seconds of application.' There's also oil-like emollients in there to soften skin and remove all makeup, SPF and impurities. The proof's in the pudding, of course, and my skin did look brighter and more radiant the more I used it.'

Sameeha Shaikh, beauty writer says: 'Despite my reservations, I've come to love a good foam cleanser. And you can really tell those good ones apart from the rest. While featherweight, they manage to lather into a thicker than expected foam which does a great job of lifting impurities from the skin all while leaving it clarified, balanced and hydrated. Refy's take on cleanser does just that. The two-in-one formula transforms from a bouncy gel-like serum to a delicate yet hardworking foam, so you can double cleanse in one go.'

Refy Face Sculpt
Refy Face Sculpt

Refy say: 'A world-first sculpting moisturiser that instantly lifts, visibly defines and deeply hydrates your skin.'

Rachael Martin, beauty editor says: 'My skin is red in tone, so anything that promises to cool and calm garners my attention. Excitingly, the Face Sculpt has become a staple in my routine. Featuring a built in roller massager that rotates across the skin, just a few sweeps works to tone, sculpt and calms- I saw an immediate reduction in puffiness after the first use. And the cream itself is beautiful too - expect a light, gel-like texture that sinks into your complexion in seconds. There's pro vitamins in there, as well as glycerin to add dewy nourishment - it also sits beautifully under make-up, no pilling in sight.'

Sameeha Shaikh, beauty writer says: 'As far as packaging goes, this is perhaps one of the most innovative moisturisers I've ever used. The five steel ball roller applicator cools skin on first touch and helps the cream to easily and evenly glide over skin to nourish while giving the face a lymphatic drainage-like lift. As for formula, my acne-prone skin was (thankfully) unfazed and reacted well to the thick, umptious texture which definitely leaves behind a believable glow.'
