If there's one thing that can add some va-va-voom to any outfit, it's a red lip. Timeless, bold and ever so sultry, a red lip is a thing of beauty and makes you a force to be reckoned with. It'll make your jeans and tee suddenly so much more, or turn up the volume on a slinky evening dress. Either way, there's a red out there for everyone and it's certainly nothing to be afraid of. We teamed up once again with the wonderful Louise Constand, a makeup artist who's painted the faces of Lauren Bacall and Naomi Campbell to name a few to suss out how to crack perfect application.
Louise's weapon of choice is the totally bargainous Rimmel Apocolips Lip Lacquer in Apocoliptic (£6.49 at Boots) for its pigment, shine and staying power. A red that doesn't move without drying your lips out is a rare breed, but Rimmel have nailed it with this one.
