And thus beings the story of my love affair with Ole Henriksen's Strawberry Lemonade Smoothing Scrub which claims to 'instantly polish and re-texturise' skin.
As a chemical exfoliant connoisseur, my go-to's are products such as Elemis' Resurfacing Pads or Medik8's Press and Glow, so I was curious and excited to try something new. As a lover of all things Ole Henriksen (all hail the banana eye cream) I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. The brand is already known for its staple Lemonade Scrub, so when the new Strawberry Lemonade version was released, I was curious to see how it measured up - not just to the original, but also to my usual exfoliation routine.
On first impressions, I instantly fell in love with the texture. You're met with a soft, bright pink gel that smells exactly like the summer strawberry lemonade we crave on a hot day. I was expecting a super sandy texture, but it is in fact smooth and creamy. The blend of ingredients features ultra-fine sugars, 10% AHAs and basil and chamomile, making a delicious cocktail of skincare to banish plenty of skin concerns. I love that you can use this product in under two minutes in the shower to give your skin a deep exfoliation. Overall verdict? I have to say - this is the best scrub I've tried in years. The instant glow it delivers is undeniable, and the physical exfoliant meant I could feel the product deeply cleanse the skin and clear out my pores.

Don't get me wrong, I will continue to use a cocktail of exfoliating ingredients, but this new launch makes a very happy addition to my routine, and I don't anticipate switching it up for a while. If you've been completely put off by physical scrubs, take it from me - this one is worth trying. The Strawberry Lemonade Smoothing Scrub is a joy, and your skin will thank you for it.
