It might be 30 degrees and August, but in the realm of beauty there’s no better time to talk advent calendars. Yes, it’s peak summer but the best beauty advent calendars for 2025 are already being revealed - and you best believe those waitlists are live and filling up swiftly. Liberty London and Cult Beauty are prime examples of the demand, with the frenzy only set to become wilder still as the countdown towards Christmas continues. I know, Christmas in summer! But I don’t make the rules. Another standout that’s just launched? The Liz Earle 24 Days of Liz Earle Advent Calendar, priced at £175. It includes a seriously impressive line-up of products (17 of which are full-sized) including a cult classic Cleanse & Polish, which happens to be one of my personal favourites.

Here’s everything you need to know, from what’s inside to how much it’s worth. And, spoiler alert- you might want to hit that check out button faster than you’d think…

The Liz Earle advent calendar has officially launched, making it one of the earliest advent calendars to be available on the market - and there's no waiting list, either. With an edit of products this good (more on the exacts shortly) we don’t think this one will stick around for long. In my experience reviewing beauty advent calendars for the past two years, I've learned which kind of edits warrant a quick-check out. And this one certainly does if you want to avoid disappointment.

Rachael Martin, beauty director says: 'I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again- this calendar will sell out. As a beauty editor who has spent the past two years of reviewing the best advent calendars, I’ve come to recognise the ones that fly off the shelves, and this one absolutely qualifies. With contents worth £505.10, and retailing for just £175, the value for money is outstanding. Really and truly. Skincare fans will already be familiar with many of the hero products included, and it's fair to say there's enough in there to keep your bathroom cabinet well-stocked for months to come. Our verdict

Rachael Martin, beauty director says:

'I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again- this calendar will sell out. Crucially, there are no fillers, just a carefully curated edit of Liz Earle cult classics. And the majority of the treasures inside are full-sized. From the soothing Bergamot and Cardamom Body Cream (possibly the most comforting, cosseting lotion I’ve ever used), to not one but two cleansers.

Yes, two cleansers! And there’s good reason why the Cleanse & Polish such a cult favourite. It’s genuinely a joy to use- the creamy formula lathers beautifully, melting away even the most stubborn makeup (including waterproof mascara). The cotton cloth that comes with it is equally lovely. It's soft, cocooning, and makes the whole process feel like a really lovely ritual. After using it, my skin feels clean, nourished, and never tight.

Packaging too, is a real delight. Expect a rich red box embossed with gold detailing. Each product is individually wrapped too, adding an extra layer of excitement. It is Christmas after all! Sort of...'

Final thoughts

All things considered, I'm predicting this will be one of the most in-demand beauty advent calendars of the year- especially for luxury skincare lovers in search of a bargain. Don’t hang about. As this advent calendar certainly won't...
