During her 30-year career, encompassing innumerable photo shoots and catwalk shows, it’s fair to assume that Kate Moss has picked up a beauty hack or two from some of the world’s most celebrated makeup artists. Now, in an interview with the Sunday Telegraph, she has revealed the trick she turns to again and again, and it’s not what you might think.
‘The ice plunge is the best trick’, she told the newspaper. ‘Fill a sink with ice cubes, cold water and slices of cucumber and hold your face in for as long as you can. It instantly reduces puffiness and tightens up your skin.’
It’s not the first time that the iconic model has shared her ultimate tip – revealing it to Stylist in 2016: ‘If I wake up looking tired and puffy, I fill a sink with ice and cucumber and submerge my face. It tightens everything making you look and feel instantly awake. It is a bit Joan Crawford–but it works!’

Aside from her icy morning routine, Moss admits that she also enjoys a facial and a massage as a treat whenever she can, and tends to stick to minimal makeup when she isn’t working.
Elsewhere in the interview, Moss discusses the difference between her ‘never complain, never explain’ generation of model and the current crop of social media stars, in light of her new modelling agency opening. She says: ‘The whole modelling scene is completely different to when I first started out. Everything now is so instant with digital photography and there’s no mystique.’
Oh, and that supposed ‘secret’ Kate Moss Instagram account? According to the model herself, it doesn’t exist: ‘I don’t have any personal accounts on social media, I'm just not into posting about personal stuff online.’
