Kaia Gerber, 19, model and daughter of renowned Supermodel - yep, that's supermodel with a capital 'S' - Cindy Crawford is the face of Marc Jacobs Daisy and picked her first campaign with the brand when she was just 15. Since then her modelling career has skyrocketed and Marc Jacobs Daisy has remained her constant. This year the brand launches its newest iteration, Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Intense Eau de Parfum, a deeper more indulgent take on the original. It's heady and balmy all in one, which makes sense when you hear that it was inspired by the concept of golden hour. Logging onto a Zoom call with Grazia's beauty editor Annie Vischer, Kaia talks through her bathroom cabinet beauty essentials, make-up must-haves, the clothes she 'borrows' from her mum and how a night in at the Gerber household always goes...

On The Beauty Products We'll Always Find In Her Bathroom Cabinet

'There's this incredible cleanser from Youth To The People, which is really great,' - Youth To The People Superfood Cleanser, £12, - 'It's a kale and spinach cleanser. I'm very into that. It's vegan and cruelty free too, those are things that I really look for in products. Ingredients wise I love skincare products with niacinamide in them. I'm a huge advocate for niacinamide. I've definitely become a lot more conscious of the ingredients in skincare products. There are a few skincare brands I really love like Paula's Choice, that's a huge one, and The Ordinary is another great one.'

On Her Make-Up Bag Staples

'Yves Saint Laurent's Rouge Volupte Shine Lipstick, £31, on my lips, those lipsticks are so nice., and then their Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Highlighter, £27, those are the two things that I cannot live without. I'm never seen without them, I always carry them with me.'

On The Clothes She 'Borrows' From Mum Cindy Crawford

'I definitely have tried to steal and successfully stolen a lot of her clothes. I ask to borrow them and she'll likely never see them again!'

I definitely have tried to steal and successfully stolen a lot of her clothes. I ask to borrow them and she'll likely never see them again!

'Right now we're at a place where we share clothes. She might wear something of mine and I'll try something of hers. I have this really great Alaïa leather jacket that I stole from her. I wear it all the time, she'll never see that jacket again!'

On Looking Zoom Ready In Five Minutes

'My top tip is not to worry about the bottom half. That's my number one piece of advice. Wear pants, be comfortable, why not?! I've got very good at getting myself half ready for the camera. Over time we start to realise what our cameras pick up and what they don't. Sometime's I'll think to myself "do I really need to wear foundation today?". Often the answer is no. It's important to give yourself a break too though. Don't worry as much about how you look on screen, I think everyone has calmed down a lot and it's not as big a priority.'

On Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Intense And Golden Hour

'Marc Jacobs Daisy as a whole evokes so many memories for me because I've been with them for so long. This new take on the fragrance definitely brings up that feeling of golden hour for me. I remember shooting the campaign for it in this incredible golden light and really feeling golden hour. Golden hour brings back memories of time spent with my family watching sunsets together. This scent is my new favourite thing.'

On Filming Those Marc Jacobs Daisy Campaigns

'It's crazy that I get to call that work. It's the longest-running job that I've had and they really spoiled me. I started working for Marc Jacobs Daisy when I was 15 and I just got to frolic in a field all day. I got to hang out with the girls, to play around, it was truly a dream come true. To me it's consistently been such an incredible experience. There's always a different campaign but it all always comes down to this really youthful, fun spirit, a spirit that I think Marc Jacobs Daisy captures so well. Those campaigns are so lovely to watch and they're so lovely to be a part of. It's the dream job.'

On A Typical Evening In The Gerber House

'Right now chess is a huge, huge thing in my household. We usually play chess before and, or, after dinner. Food wise we always cook and eat at home. We have a garden, which is awesome, so when it comes to vegetables we use a lot of our own produce, which has been lovely. We usually eat really healthily.'

We also watched the Meghan Markle, Oprah interview obviously, because we just had to

'We're all very into movies too. Recently we watched The United States vs. Billie Holiday and we watched The Trial Of The Chicago 7 on Netflix last night. We also watched the Meghan Markle, Oprah interview obviously, because we just had to. We're all very much into watching films after dinner. It's been so nice to spend so much time with my family in the last year during lockdown. I haven't been able to do so that much for the last few years, so I'm very grateful for that.'

On The Netflix Show That Hooked Her This Year

'The Queen's Gambit definitely hooked me. It's a series I got through so quickly. That and I'm super into crime shows so Night Stalker and Crime Scene: The Vanishing At The Cecil Hotel too. I'm very into a crime show.' Is The Queen's Gambit where the current obsession with chess sprang from? 'Yes, yes definitely. I can't say I'm as good as Beth bit I'm trying to get there. I'm even reading up on chess theory. I would love to be at Beth's level some day.'

On Her Genius Perfume Trick

'I spray my perfume on the mirror first and use my finger to apply the droplets to my skin. It gives you a much more concentrated, rich smell that seems to last all day. It means that I can decide exactly where I place my perfume too, rather than spritzing it all over. It might look crazy but I do it all the time.'
