It's been a good couple of months since season 4 of estate reality show Selling Sunset aired on Netflix. And while some of us have moved on to Get Organised With The Home Edit or Million Dollar Beach House, lots of us (here at Grazia HQ, anyway) are still obsessed with the staff at The Oppenheim Group and are eagerly awaiting season 5. Which is why, when we had the chance to catch up with Heather Rae Young, we were just a little (OK, a lot) excited. Recently married to real estate investor Tarek El Moussa, here Heather shares her go-to make-up look and her skincare staples…
On Her Go-To Make-Up Look
'I usually play it safe with my make-up and I like it to look fresh, pretty and simple,' says Heather, 'nothing too heavy.' Her go-to products? 'I'll start with the Tinted Moisturiser from Suntegrity, £86.40, before swirling on a pop of soft pink blusher as well as bronzer.' Over on eyes, Heather opts for a brown eyeliner over black and likes to curl her lashes before applying Fit Glow's Strengthening Mascara, £39. 'I'll finish the look with a slick of lip gloss and my favourite shade is a rose pink.'
On Her Skincare Routine
On and off the show, Heather's skin is positively radiant and glow-y. What's her secret? 'Personally, I think if your skin doesn't look good, you're make-up won't look good over it,' she says, 'investing in your skincare is way more important than any make-up product.'
Starting with a cleanser, Heather talks us through her skincare regime. 'No matter how tired I am or how late it is, I will always take off my make-up before bed. To do this, I'll use an oil-based cleanser and a soft white washcloth to make sure everything is off and my skin is clean.' Next, she'll use a toning mist and a serum or oil - depending on her skincare needs.
'I love a hydrating moisturiser, the Cloud Comfort Cream from FitGlow, £72, is great. And I'll follow this with an SPF 30 and a face primer before starting on my make-up.' At night, Heather also adds an eye cream into her regime and swears by FitGlow's Eye C Firm, £81 as well as the Osmia Spotless Blemish Oil, £23, to take down any pimples.

On Selling Sunset
'When we found out that season one got picked up by Netflix, we really didn't know what to expect,' says Heather, 'and we definitely didn't expect such a huge response.' After season two and three, the show's success has soared and viewers are firmly hooked on the office drama and the million-dollar listings. 'We get into disagreements,' laughs Heather, 'but most of the time we can work them out. There are times where I'll talk to some of the girls more than others.'
On The Office Dress Code
Often sporting an LBD and killer Louboutin heels, the dress code is definitely 'extra' at the Oppenheim Group. According to Heather, appearance is important when you work in a professional industry - 'and even when I'm in my comfies, I still like to look put together.'
On Her Beauty Sleep Products
Now, Heather didn't tell us this directly but it was too good not to include. In an interview with US MagazineHeather detailed her must have beauty sleep products!
Heather revealed that she sprays her skin with Thermal Spring Water from La Roche-Posay £7. She told US magazine, 'This is literally a must for me. I’ve been using this for probably six, seven years. I travel with it. I use it every morning, every night and even throughout the day.'
Next, she uses the Rose Squalane oil, £25, from a small company called B3. She hints that her fiancé Tarek also gives this oil a seal of approval! She reminds US magazine readers, ‘Always make sure you also dab under the eyes. We have very thin skin under our eyes. Always get the neck too and move it down to the décolletage. Your neck is also part of your face and you have to remember, your neck is very thin skin, same as under your eyes.’
Her final steps include Lustre lip oil from Iconic London, £22, to ensure she still looks ‘ a little glam before bed.’ She also puts on a Lash Serum from Grandelashe-MD, £59.
