Gwyneth Paltrow Is Launching Goop Skincare

Gwyneth Paltrow’s website, Goop, is a veritable hive of health and lifestyle info, with a far-too-tempting, curated shop thrown into the mix. Soon to be joining the actress’ picks of elegant flats and buttery knitwear is Goop’s first skincare line which, we’re sure, will be every bit as luxurious.

CEO Lisa Gersh talked about Goop’s skincare drop at the Fashion Tech Forum, where she revealed they’re looking at a direct-to-consumer program, as opposed to outside retailers. While this does extinguish our hopes that we might snap up skin like Gwynnie’s in our nearest beauty hall, it’s worth noting that Goop currently ships to the UK.

So, what can we expect? Gersh is currently keeping mum on the upcoming line-up, but we’re willing to bet that it will err on the virtuous, non-toxic and sumptuous side of the market.

When asked to name which brands have excelled in e-commerce, Gersh pointed to Into The Gloss, which launched its capsule wardrobe of glow-giving skincare last year. She also confirmed that the collection will hit the site in January 2016, meaning we have a bit of a wait before we’ll get our hands on the goods.

Fingers crossed that, whatever Gwyneth has up her sleeve, the line doesn’t involve any vaginal steaming. That’s one beauty regimen that we won’t be getting on board with…
