To quote the late, great Harry Gordon Selfridge, there's no fun like work. But, with ever-longer working days and seemingly unbeatable inboxes, when was the last time you took a proper lunch break that didn't involve munching an overpriced sandwich at your desk, dropping crumbs into your keyboard? In order to help the good people of London reclaim their lunch breaks, Selfridge's have launched their Work It! campaign, which will see visitors to the store between 12-3pm beautified in a jiffy.

From today for six weeks, every Thursday will be Work It! Thursday - if you head down to the beauty hall, expect to see a flurry of 'wellness workers' making over shoppers in record time. From blow dries at Hershesons to gel-effect manicures at Nails Inc, the cream of the crop of Selfridge's brands will be offering fifteen-minute treatments to have you back at the office relaxed, radiant, and most importantly, on time. We're particularly keen to try Charlotte Tilbury's 'Iconic Eyes' makeover which will lend some of the makeup maestro's legendary skills to your everyday look, or Creme de la Mer's Lifting & Firming Hand Treatment, which will see to dry patches and neglected cuticles.

If that wasn't enough, you'll leave swinging a complimentary lunch bag to enjoy at your desk - there's not much we can do about the crumbs-in-keyboard-situation, we're afraid. There'll be pop-up events in Birmingham and Manchester, too - head to the Selfridge's site for more details.
