Let's be realistic here - is there truly any need to go outside? Look at the facts - indoors is warm, outdoors is not. Indoors has your bed, cushions and a duvet. Outdoors has people, and people are terrible. Deliveroo will literally bring delicious food to your door. Netflix exists! You can watch every single episode of the The Office in one fell swoop if you want to! Not that we would recommend it, mind.

With that in mind, we're declaring January (and February and March, most likely) as Official Pampering Months. Forget the pub, stay home and put on a hair mask. Never have time to do a five-step cleansing routine? Hello, there is ice outside. You could hurt yourself. In the interests of your health, stay home!

Allow us to present how an ideal at-home pamper session should go...

8pm - You're home from work, you've eaten. Your phone is on silent. Next door's baby is still asleep. Run a bath, add in a couple of drops of Aromatherapy Associates Deep Relax Bath & Shower Oil (£45.00), which is turbo-charged with oodles of relaxing, soothing essential oils. Light some candles, like No.22's Bookshelf Candle, (£38.00) and a Jo Malone Red Roses Candle, (£42.00). While it's running, work some Aveda Damage Remedy Intensive Restructing Treatment, (£29.50) through your hair to infuse it with moisture - the quinoa protein complex rebuilds even the most damaged of tresses.

Maybe even put some music on - you deserve it. Better still, plop your laptop on a chair a safe distance away from the tub and load up Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. The Sanctuary Spa do a pamper set that comes with an inflatable bath pillow, (£45.00), and it's life-changing. Get one.

8.05pm - Slide onto that tub. Reeeelax. You can stay here literally as long as you like - or until you turn into a prune and the water evaporates, either or. Give your skin a good scrub with frank body Original Coffee Body Scrub (£11.95) - this delicious-smelling skin-slougher is made from coffee grounds and almond oils, and removes dead, stiff skin in a jiffy. Scrub with abandon, and rinse out your hair mask.

8.30pm - Haul yourself out of the tub, dry off and start moisturising. Your skin will thank you. You're spoiling yourself, therefore you must use Chanel's Coco Noir Body Cream (£60.00), which smells heavenly and locks in moisture wonderfully.

8:35pm - Time to get your skin glowing and your pores tights. Slip on a Sarah Chapman 3D Moisture Infusion Mask (£39.00), which is one of those clever sheet masks that adheres to your face enough for you lie down. Enriched with low molecular hylaruonic acid (layman's terms: deeply hydrating), it ensures beautifully soft, springy and glowing skin. Also, slip on some Bliss Softening Socks, (£39.00) which have a hydrating gel lining with olive and grapeseed oils to smooth hardened hooves.

8:40pm - Get comfy with your laptop and paint your nails. By the time you've applied a few coats of Nails Inc Sloane Mews Nail Polish, (£14.00), and let it dry, it'll be time to take off your face mask, and your spa socks - at this point, you'll be so radiant you won't need to put the lights on.

9pm - Wash off the masks and apply some Laura Mercier Infusion de Rose Nourishing Oil (£43.50) and massage it in. Make a cup of tea - we recommend Clipper's yummy range - and settle back in, whilst marveling at your soft skin, wonderful nails and shiny hair. You're welcome.
